The National Aquarium in Baltimore, USA has announced it is to move its dolphins into a seaside sanctuary by 2020. Seven of the dolphins were born in captivity, the location of the sanctuary has as yet not been confirmed.
The dolphin shows ended several years ago but the animals have remained on display. Marine Connection is delighted with this latest development and look forward to a future where more captive cetaceans will be given the opportunity to retire to a more natural environment.
