Help be the voice for all the dolphins, whales and porpoises that have been taken from the wild in the name of entertainment, confined to tanks suffering in silence day after day, year after year.
The world is changing. Humans are, as a race, hopefully developing a new consciousness of non-human beings, their rights and needs. It is now accepted cetaceans are self-aware, intelligent and sentient with complex social needs, with many having lifelong family bonds in the wild; the first whale sanctuary has been established to house two ex-captive beluga whales from a facility in China, and we hope there will be many more to follow.
Capturing wild-born cetaceans to supply marine parks for public display has to end. We urge you to join us in calling for a ban on the capture of all wildlife, including dolphins and whales, and for this to be raised by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnston at the upcoming G20 summit in November.
PLEASE SUPPORT THE CAMPAIGN TODAY!
- UK residents please contact your local MP as a matter of urgency asking them to support the campaign to #EndWildlifeTrade by attending the upcoming virtual online Parliamentary reception on 21 October and signing EDM#873 on the global wildlife trade and prevention of future zoonotic pandemics.
- PLEASE NOTE: The petition we requested signatures to has now closed and has been submitted to the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, London. Thank you all who supported this and we are delighted to report that collectively over 165,000 signatures were collected from the UK alone.
Together let’s put an end to this unnecessary cruelty and consign the capture of wildlife for entertainment to the history books forever.
