Marine Connection has teamed up with Sound AiSleep, the award-winning personalised audiobook studio, to create The Dolphin Sleepover — a gentle bedtime story for children aged 5–7. Through playful humour and imaginative storytelling, it helps young listeners understand what life in captivity is really like for dolphins, encouraging families to think about the difference between entertainment and genuine animal welfare.
“Storytelling has always been one of the most powerful tools for change. Working with Marine Connection allowed us to take a complex, important issue and transform it into a warm, silly, hopeful tale that children can connect with emotionally- without fear or sadness.”
Coco Shellim, Co-founder, Sound AiSleep
For Marine Connection, this partnership represents an opportunity to educate families about dolphins as wild animals rather than entertainers.
“Inspiring the next generation to care about marine life begins with helping them truly understand it. The Dolphin Sleepover gives families a gentle way to explore why dolphins belong in the ocean, rather than performing tricks. It’s through stories like this that we can spark compassion and shape a more respectful future for dolphins and whales.”
Liz Sandeman, Co-founder, Marine Connection.
The Dolphin Sleepover is available exclusively for iPad and iPhone on the Sound AiSleep app, with a portion of proceeds supporting Marine Connection’s work to end dolphin and whale captivity.
