We have received the news that Skyla, one of the female orcas died on March 11, 2021.
Born in 2004 at SeaWorld Orlando, Skyla’s mother was Kalina and her father Tilikum. At only two years of age, she was moved to Loro Parque in 2006 and was reported by the park to be in good health before starting showing signs of some discomfort, dying shortly afterwards. A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of her death. We will update as soon as information is available.
