Marine Connection welcomes the news today from Virgin Holidays that the company is to cease selling tickets to SeaWorld attractions and also, we believe, the Atlantis parks in Dubai and the Bahamas.
We have been in contact with Joe Thompson, Managing Director of Virgin Holidays regarding their decision. It is our sincere hope that given this move away from captive dolphin and whale attractions by Virgin, and the obvious change in public opinion on this issue over the years (something which has been highlighted to other tour operators/holiday companies for some considerable time now), that others can be convinced to follow suit embracing this more ethical approach to attractions they offer to their customers.
