Want to get on your bike for charity?

By January 30, 2020No Comments

Join 20,000 cyclists taking on the world-famous 100-mile route of the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey charity event – the largest and most sought after sportive in the UK.  Competition for a spot in this race is fierce, with thousands missing out on the ballot places every year, but the good news is that Marine Connection has two secure places up for grabs for this year’s event which takes place on 16 August.

Riders will follow the 100-mile route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics. The race starts in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside before finishing on the Mall in front of thousands of spectators. It will be broadcast live nationally and internationally on BBC TV; and as well as raising money to support our vital work, cycling for Marine Connection will help raise awareness of the charity as you’ll be seen by hundreds of people along the route wearing our charity logo – it’s a truly spectacular day for all involved.

And there is a special free treat in store for our two riders!  The weekend prior to the race you will be able to visit the Prudential RideLondon Cycling Show at ExCel in London’s famous docklands, where leading experts in nutrition and coaching will share their knowledge, tips and tricks with you – there will also be appearances by special guests from the elite world of cycling.

So if you’d like to get your wheels in motion, having fun riding in a large group to make a difference to the lives of dolphins and whales
register your interest with the charity via email today!

NOTE:  Riders are required to pay a £50 registration fee to secure their place as well as a minimum fundraising pledge of £350.
