World Oceans Day is held every year on 8 June to raise awareness of the importance of our oceans and the role they play in sustaining a healthy planet.
8 June is marked globally in a variety of ways, including launching new campaigns and initiatives, beach clean-ups, educational and conservation action programs, art contests, film festivals, and sustainable seafood events.
The oceans cover over 70% of our planet and we all can, and should, no matter where we live, pledge to play a part in protecting and conserving this fragile environment, not just on World Oceans Day but every day.
If you love the oceans and their creatures, check out our limited edition ‘World Oceans Day’ merchandise for men, women and kids in our online shop and celebrate the diversity of the deep with us!
