Dolphin dies at National Aquarium, USA

By July 9, 2019No Comments

Maya, one of seven dolphins at the National Aquarium, Baltimore,  has died after experiencing liver problems, inflammation and digestive issues.

She first began showing signs of illness earlier this year and the decision to euthanize the dolphin was made at the weekend after her health declined within days. Maya was born at the aquarium in 2001 and was third-eldest dolphin at the facility.

A full necropsy is scheduled to determine the underlying causes of her illness.
