Holiday fun – not for captive cetaceans

By June 7, 2018No Comments

Can't go home_holidayIt’s the start of the annual summer holiday season with many looking forward to that well-deserved break and, for some, this will include a visit to marine parks.

Although the tide is turning, with people speaking out against seeing dolphins and whales in captivity, there are still thousands that purchase tickets to watch these shows or have that ‘lifetime experience’ of interacting with dolphins – attractions that many travel/tour operators are still keen to profit from. In the European Union there are 33 facilities. The USA/Canada has 37 with a further 32 in Mexico. Dolphins and whales are a very profitable business but it is the animals which pay the real price.

Please help Marine Connection spread the word; for dolphins and whales, captivity is not entertainment!
