Liz Sandeman from Marine Connection recently spoke to one of the hosts Dr Chris Parsons about the phenomenon of social, solitary dolphins and why habituation is the biggest threat these individual cetaceans face. Whilst understandably, people want to get closer to these marine mammals when they appear close to shore, many are unaware of the consequences that swimming with solitary wild dolphins or whales has on the individual animal.
