Update on Stop Sea Blasts UK campaign

By December 14, 2020No Comments

Stop Sea Blasts, Joanna Lumley, WWII, dolphins, whales, injury, underwater noiseAs an organisation that works tirelessly to protect dolphins and whales across the globe, Marine Connection continues to work with the Stop Sea Blasts campaign, launched in early November and led by Joanna Lumley to raise awareness about whales, dolphins and other marine life being injured/killed by the detonation of unexploded Second World War bombs in British waters. We are delighted that thousands have so far added their voice to the petition, signatures currently stand at over 102,000!

To show your support further for the campaign, we are asking UK residents to write to their respective MP asking if they would be willing to be listed as a parliamentary supporter of the campaign and/or for them to write to Rt Hon George Eustice MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in support of the campaign.

The campaign team have drafted a template letter for your use with a useful link to make it easy to find your MP, so it will only take minutes to send.

Thank You!
