In May of this year, three dolphins were moved from Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage, Las Vegas, to a facility in the Caribbean. One has now died, Huf-N-Pu. She had been fighting an infection since arriving at Coral World Ocean Park in St. Thomas and is the fifth dolphin from the Habitat that has died since April 2022 when 13-year-old Bella passed. In September 2022, 19-year-old Maverick died then 11-year-old K2 died soon afterwards. In January of this year 2023, 48-year-old Duchess died. She was wild caught in 1981 in the Gulf of Mexico.

The two other dolphins that moved to the Caribbean facility with Huf-N-Puff and currently still alive are Coco and Lady Ace. In February of this year, three of the other Mirage dolphins, Karli, Sofi, and Osborne, were relocated to SeaWorld San Diego. The company had originally loaned the three to the Mirage Dolphin Habitat several years ago.
