Today we received news from colleague Daniel Rolke in Sweden that Kolmården Zoo is to close their dolphinarium currently holding 12 dolphins, the majority born at the facility. What the future plans are for the dolphins is unknown, whether they will be separated when relocated is unclear, however as this decision will take some time, it is vital that Kolmården ensure no breeding occurs in the interim.

We will update as soon as further information is available.
