Latest update on Honey the lone dolphin at Inubosaki

By June 10, 2019No Comments

Honey (c) Animal Rights Centre JapanInubosaki Marine Park Aquarium, Japan is located in the Pacific coastal city of Choshi. The park closed in early 2018 yet the dolphin and other animals including penguins remain there in totally unacceptable conditions.

Marine Connection continues its campaign to have Honey moved to another facility, however Chiba prefectural government’s Kaiso Public Health Center, who conducted a visual inspection of the facility on May 28, has advised that Honey is ‘well and healthy’ but would not provide further information on her welfare.    In April of this year, it was confirmed that Inubosaki Marine Park Aquarium was under new ownership and due to re-open this month, however as of June 6, no repair work had been carried out within the facility.

Honey’s situation is urgent!   Please continue to support our ongoing campaign by emailing the Mayor of Choshi City and Governor of Chiba Prefecture, asking them to intervene as a matter of urgency:
