Since 2006 Marine Connection has supported campaigns by colleagues at Dolphin Defenders St Maarten to stop the establishment of a captive dolphin facility on the island.
To date we have helped stop 3 applications being authorised, however, there are rumours that the island is again being targetted for a new dolphin swim programme. Marine Connection is calling on our supporters to add your voice to the campaign to ensure this does not happen.
Please sign the petition below, asking the Government of St Maarten to not only refuse any current attempts to establish a facility, but also create a law to permanently ban the display/keeping of dolphins in captivity on the island.
